You know the start of a new football season is just around the corner, with a clean slate for ku, when Jayhox resumes squeezing out diamonds like this:

Quote from: Jayhox
The Texas win is going to hurt them more in the long run than help them.

That's a joke right?  :loly:

Just because mangino cant get a win vs. a top 20 team in his first five seasons doesn't mean that by doing so that it's going to hurt your program.

I think Missouri was ranked when they beat them in 03, weren't they?

That Mizzou win will end up hurting ku more than helping them in the long run, because from that point forward, losses to Mizzou will be harder to swallow for the fans. /jayhox

What a moron.  Then again ku doesn't know what it feels like to worry about football recruiting....since they are only a basketball school
*I thank god I did not grow up a Gayhawk fan*

    The very best.
He was being nice too, when he was here. Dax had to be so mean to him though, so he left.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

That just shows how much Mangino cares about the ku football program.  He doesn't want to hurt the program in anyway by beating top 20 opponents.  Such a humanitarian.

Winning the big 12 title in 03 hurt more than it helped us.  Clearly we haven't been the same program since then.
