"While Talib was predicting nine wins one floor level above where Mangino was speaking at the Media Day session, when told of his standout's optimism, the Jayhawk coach quipped, "I like what he's saying, but he might be talking too much."

I'll put 50 bucks on the under.

That won't win you anything.  Taking ku at under 9 games pays 1000000001-to-1000000000.

    Hey, basketball!!!
In all seriousness, with their schedule, if ku doesn't win atleast seven games......than just  :loly:

which also would get your ass canned with that type of performance at a normal division one football school...

but....

KEEP MANGINO!!!

KEEP MANGINO!!!

I have to disagree.  I think Mangino is a pretty solid coach.  I'd love to have him as an OC....again.

I'd love for them to get rid of Mangino, because I don't think they can do better.  Who would want to coach at a school whose fan base is so apathetic toward football?  If they get rid of Mangion, they have to completely start over...which is nice for us.

They don't leave the Sunflower State until October 20th.

Even a KSU fan can call that schedule pussified.

I wish we had Mangino as a mascot.  Just imagine the fun things you could have the fat fella do.

Dude, THAT one didn't have anything to do with Snyder.  I think you are getting paranoid.

    started the auburn/ksu hillbillie war
this is just amazing. a good player, who probably had the ability to be great, is limited by going to a school that doesn't want to succeed. Their head coach is already putting a cap on the season. Imagine what Talib could have been if he went to a school where they embraced that mentality and worked hard to get there. It is incredible to hear that from a D-1 coach, to settle like that. I would fire him on the spot if I was the A.D.

I'm totally with KSUCats on this one....there's no reason ku shouldn't be 4-0 heading into Manhattan. So basically, if they don't go bowling, Mangino has more problems than just his health.

As for Talib, I have always thought and will always believe he is the most overrated corner in America. Not saying he's bad, I think he's a very good player in fact. But he gets way too much hype. Let's get past the 6 INT's...show me what this kid does against the big name, big game wideouts. The day he covers guys like Sweed and Bowman and holds them to sub-par games, I'll believe he's the real deal.

All non-conference game at home vs. the likes of FIU, SE Louisiana, Toledo, Central Michigan. Easy wins.

Than you add in ISU & BU in Lawrence. (Both picked to finish last in north & south.)

And there you go. You're now bowl eligible....

Mustering up that 7th win looks the easiest @ CU.... :blank:

Mangino coached under Snyder. That is what I was getting at.

    The very best.
Seriously, does anyone really have a problem with him saying that? BFD.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

With Talib saying that or with Mangino saying that?
