"You can't lie with what the numbers say.

"As a player, you don't look at the numbers"

That Mangino has some HIGHLY intelligent players.

Well I am a wealth of knowledge. Ask me anything as long as it is readily available information and I should be able to answer it.

Did anyone else hear Mangino say:  "at ku we want to consistantly.... uhh go to bowl games... and compete for championships."  I was on the edge of my seat praying that Mangino would bust out something like bold and daring.

Maybe Coach Prince will mock him by standing up and start the press conferance by saying:  "I'd like to start off by thanking a very dear friend and a valuable asset to the Kansas State Football Program.  Without great rivals like the Mangino Family we couldn't consistantly compete for championships.  Come on up here Mark!"     Holds hand over forehead shielding his eyes as he pans across the room.   "Where'd he go?" Then goes off on a 15 minute standup routine about how fat Mangino is.

That isn't at all believable.  If you look for Mangino, you'll see him.  He's tough to miss.

It was a reference to the catbacker event where Coach Prince went off on J-Mart.

Loved the questions to Mangino - Why can't you break .500?  What about the NCAA and OU?

It looks like he says that they want to be able to compete for championships and that they haven't gotten there yet.  I have no idea why they were not able to compete up to this point (they did field a team, after all), but that's a marked difference between their aims and ours.  Not only do we try to actually compete for championships, we try to do it consistently.
