That was embarrassing.
It's obvious they went to Prince hoping he'd say something along the lines of, "Yes, it's a travesty. It's awful, and I'm going to stand outside the Big 12 offices and protest until we get three more black coaches in the league." Instead --in this story that was presumably about him-- in the two points he was allowed to make, he made a positive comment on his past and a glowing comment about the future for African-Americans in college football, denying what BET wanted and believed.
So instead of talking about Prince and hs outlook, the host mocked him then turned it over to the panel, which never talked about the Prince or his story again, and the rest of the embarrassment continued with the "discussion".
Beings that BET only used two Prince quotes, I'd imagine the rest of their interview with him went something like this: "Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I'm glad I have guys like Jeffrey Martin and Brian Butler BET to tell me about the lack of diversity in college football."
