My son asked me this today as we were cleaning all the tailgating gear.  My top three that I couldn't decide between were-1)98 win over NU; 2)93 Copper Bowl; 3)2003 Big 12 championship.

Each one was a signficant 'first' for our Cats.  What about some of you guys?

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Since you said positive, I'll go with NU in 2000.

But sadly, no image from any KSU game is burned more brightly in my head than He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named dashing out of bounds at the one for a touchdown in the 1998 Big 12 CCG.

It was the best KSU comeback I've ever witnessed. If we lose that game, we probably go 4-8 in 2006.

    DOD Take Two

1. The 2006 Texas game... can't wait to top this one
2. My first ever K-State football game. I was in the 4th grade and my Dad took me to the 1994 Thursday night KSU/ku game along with all of his work buddies.
3. 1995 game versus ku. We took my cousin (ku fan) to the game. ku was ranked 6th in the nation and we beat them 41-7.

Thinking back to that 1995 season, 1/2 of the Big 8 was in the Top Ten at some point. Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State and Colorado. If only those teams were the same... no one would ever question the Big 12 North...

1.  2003 CCG.

2.  1982 kwho game.  This was the "gray shirt" game.

3.  Band day,  1974.  KSU kicked a field goal into the South end zone.  It came right at me...

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

1989 North Texas - First KSU game I ever attended.  My high school band was there for band day, and I got to play on the field at halftime.  The east parking lot was not even paved.  It was mostly dirt, and I remember a large section of the goalpost being carried by unruly fans past our school bus after the game.

'98 NU-without a doubt the best gameday atmoshphere I've ever experienced
'03 OU-enough said
'00 NU- loved the snow and the "K-S-U" by willie on the press box...and the Beas was the man

Honorable mention:
'02 USC- owned their a$$es (best harley day to date as well)
'06 UT- thinking "WTF" the entire game..perhaps the most entertaining game i've seen
'97 Fiesta Bowl-amazing trip, amazing game, and the buzz about KSU afterwards (and Bishop owned Donovan)

1.) 98' Nebraska-- National Championship run, had not beat NU in 30 years, Keith Jackson calling the game, #1 in the nation. That was an electric experience and an unbelievable atmosphere.

2.) 03 Big XII Championship-- Long overdue championship, nice to beat Stoops and OU. (who i generally respect).

3.) 2002 USC-- Great game vs OOC opponent that has dominated College Football pretty much since that season. KSU Stadium was absolutely deafening that game. Top 3 or 4 loudest ive heard it (at least at the games ive been too).

Last Christmas break I needed to work more so I could afford to go to the Texas bowl (jobs on campus didn't have anything for me to do over break) so I had to settle being a temporary employee at Varneys to get the dough. Anyways, that video was constantly playing, and still got goosebumps just walking by the TV screen.

-As much as i hate to put ku up in here, I would say that the 1995 KSU vs ku game ranks very high.  They had just beat CU out in Boulder, and we got beat by NU in Lincoln.   They walked into KSU stadium thinking that they were going to wipe the field with KSU.   KSU rolled all over them.   At one point KSU had ku's defense so confused, that KSU just formation(ed) them off balance and Matt Miller would just take the ball around end on a QB keeper for 30 yards.
