    The very best.
Still awful.

Anyone disagree?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

At least we are leading for Terrance Thomas!  He'll look good playing in Coffeyville. :banghead:

I was hoping to hear Brodrick Smith committed by now.

It is still a long time before national letter of intent day.

And Harper. You'd think you can land the life-long KSU fans.

Looking better:  KSU BBall recruiting or FBall recruiting?

I say BBall just because we still have a shot at a couple somewhat good players even though we have zero commits.  Both going in the toilet compared to what I had hoped.   :crybaby:

You don't win with 2 stars.

You want to see the recruiting lists of all the past national champions?

The strange thing is that I thought recruiting was one of Prince's strengths? It's going to be hard to compete in the Big 12 without top talent, as Texas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, etc. are all consistently putting together great recruiting classes. It is possible to have a couple of diamonds in the rough, that other teams and the recruiting services miss the boat on, and end up being stars, but those guys are the exception rather than the rule.

It seemed like Snyder was recruiting well up until his last couple years. Was there something he was doing that Prince should try? I know Snyder relied on a lot of JUCOs, but that seemed to work for him. Maybe Prince should try going that route. Or bringing in some assistants who are stronger recruiters? In any event, I'm sympathetic, because as hard as it is to get kids to forego beach life in California or Florida, or warmer climates elsewhere and come to Lincoln, it seems like it must be far harder to get them to come to Manhattan.

You have to trust the coaches and that these players develop. :blank:

4 and 5 star guys are fun to talk about and sell rival subscriptions but how many of those guys are busts.

These coaches did nab Freeman and Lamark.

The 2007 class is all 3 stars with some 4 star guys.   It's a philosophy of athletic speed recruiting over rivals rankings.

It can work with good coaching.

Hope this reassures all of you.  Probably not.........

You know, back in the day (early 90's) recruiting wasn't near as big a deal, and I don't remember there being "stars" etc.  I usually read about the recruiting class after signing day, and that was enough for me.  I  wonder what some of Snyder's earlier classes were rated in the nation.  I wonder if we signed mostly 2 star players back then?  I'm thinking that the only way to get the 3 and 4 star players to KSU is to demonstrate coaching ability, go to bowl games consistently, and be on the tube.  I think Prince is back where Snyder was in the early 90's, and he's going to have to prove to high school kids today that he's a winner.  I'm not alarmed by all the 2 stars, it seems to me he is confident in what he is doing.  We will just need to see how he coaches these kids up.  I think we are going to have to build that tradition again, because I think kids are waiting to see if we lost what we had.

We just need to start winning.  Seems like he does everything else decent.

The problem Stunner is that it's kind of a chicken and egg deal...winning attracts recruits, and recruits allow you to win.

You guys had an up and down year last year, with losses to teams like Baylor and a signature win against Texas. It seems a little weird to me that Prince can't take that win against Texas and use it to create some momentum in recruiting. The reality is that classes full of two-star recruits aren't going to get the job done in the Big 12. So something has to change if K-State is going to get back to being competitive in conference and fighting to be ranked each year.

We can still win this year with our 3 star recruits and occasional 2/4.
