Shortly after being released by the Dolphins:

"As I was going through this process I heard about a quote by Gandhi that best expresses my thoughts about this victory: 'First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win,'" Culpepper, who serves as his own agent, said in an e-mail. "Now that I have won my freedom and I get to choose my next team, I am just like many other people who have to go out and find employment so that I can take care of my family."

Sure Daunte, you're exactly like those other people   :jerkoff:

The thing is that Sprewell was employed when he made that comment. He was already making ten million a year (complete guess) and he was asking for more saying "I have to feed my kids, man."

Frank Thomas did the same thing a few years ago when the White Sox invoked the "Dimished skills" portion of his contract, which dropped him to ~5 mil a year.

"As far as the money thing, I've got kids to support and a lifestyle to support, and I like living my lifestyle"

Yeah, but at least he threw in that it was his lifestyle to support and he is acknowledging that his lifestyle costs a lot of &@#%ing money. Sprewell just said that he had kids to feed. Which makes me ask the question.. what the &@#% do you feed your kids?

I think Ewing said "but we spend more" in defense of his need for a high salary or something.

How many kids does Sprewell have?

If Shawn Kemp* had made that comment, I would understand.
