WHAT’S AHEAD: This season will likely be a success if the bullpen remains solid and Brian Bannister, Alex Gordon and Billy Butler continue to progress.

TRADE BUZZ: Their best chip is Octavio Dotel, especially as so many teams need closers. Most everyone is likely available for the right price, though.

EXTRA BASES: The team’s first winning month in four years provided some validation on GM Dayton Moore’s direction.

Wow.....This is very informative!  :chirp:

As much as I hate to defend Barry Bonds, and I hate to defend Barry Bonds, he did have 494 homeruns before 2001 (15 years). Of course he has 257 in the 7 years since so yeah.....I hate to defend Barry Bonds.

Except that's the age that most peolple's bodies start breaking down, not begin a growth spurt.  Not that he wouldn't have been a solid home run hitter without the juice, he just doesn't deserve the record.

I hate to root for a Yankee, but the sooner A-Rod breaks the record, the better!

I agree with you 100%.....I want NO part of this record but I'm using the argument that all of the "experts" are using. As far as I'm concerned.....None of the players from this era belong in the Hall of Fame but if you want to put Bonds in I can still see why you would.

I know.  I could make a mirror image of the pic, but that would put McCovey Cove in Left Field, so I couldn't win.
