I'll have to do some further research but I believe with today's announcement about OU, that the Big 12 is now home to the two most probation laden major sports programs (football and men's basketball) of any major conference schools:

OU Football-6 Probationary Periods

ku Basketball-5 Probationary Periods

OU Football, ku Basketball and ku Football have been placed on probation a combined 15 times.

In related news, our punter didn't forget to take the field against OU in 2005. That game never happened.  :D

Actually we beat OU that day. 6-5 baby!!!   :woohoo:

I love your regular updates on ku probation, dax.  It's always good to keep that out in the open since the media does not seem to want to report on it.  Many ku fans seem to think their program is as clean and pure as the wind-driven snow.

I need a refresher.  How many (and which) ku MBB coaches were around for Major Violations?

The real question is, which ku basketball coach WASN'T around for major violations:

Allen
Harp
Owens
Brown
Williams
Self

Major violations were committed at ku under all of these coaches.

I was thinking this is a worthy trivia question for Petro's horrid show:  "Who was the last ku MBB coach that wasn't busted for Major Violations for his time in Lawrence?"
