And one has to wonder what might happen if both Texas and Florida keep coming after Givens.

How long before the corn cobs come out and say the kid was overrated and not a big loss?

Did Robinson send Callahan a text informing him yet? :loly:

He can't be considered a loss since he has already confirmed that he is still commited to us.  If he leave's... then that sucks because he is an awesome prospect.  But, we will still have the best OL class in the Big 12.... by far.

I doubt he leaves but it is odd that he's going back to visit Mich and ND again when he's been up there a few times before making his decision.

Givens is the one I think you could very well lose...regardless of what has been said that safety on his team is going to keep working him and working him.  And he just seems like the type who might bolt.

I think Givens and Steinkuhler are easily your best out of that bunch...me thinks Robinson and Hoch might be the ones who go bust on you.   I have read there are aggressiveness and toughness issues w/ Hoch.

Givens is a funny situation and if we do lose him it will be to Texas.  In his last update he said he isn't going to visit anywhere else, but you never know with Urban Myer and the $EC. :yuck:  Luckily with our #1 recruiter this year is keeping on top of him and has probably already called Robinson to say "what the hell!"  The funny thing is that #1 recruiter is Blaine Gabbert.... lol.  The kid is on everybody.

I have heard Hoch lacks aggressiveness and needs a fire lit under his... but then I have also heard how well he uses his size and that he has great technique.  We will see on all the above.  The only one I almost guarantee not to bust is Baker.

Don't sweat it over Givens.  4 and 5 stars with powers like Notre Dame and Texas after their services almost always are complete busts.  Now, if you've got a two star looking around with offers from Navy, Akron and Colorado State that's a whole other story because these are the guys that turn out to be the All-Conference performers and Pro Bowlers.  Always.

This would be a huge loss, and I already consider it a loss right now. I don't think he would reopen his recruitment to visit schools he has seen several times if he is planning on staying with us.

This hurts. I really didn't expect this from him. If he goes to Michigan I'll take it, but if he goes to Notre Dame I am going to puke.

Really lousy day for recruiting news for us.

    Damn, I'm sexy
He's a Nebraska kid, and my guess is we still end up with him.

I bet if you guys had any 4 or 5 star guys, you'd be worried about holding on to them as well. As it is, you just need to worry about SMU or Air Force trying toi steal your 1 and 2 star guys that no one else really cares much about.

But keep hoping for Nebraska to fail. Your envy and resentment are taken as compliments.  ;)

We had Lamark last year and I never worried about it a bit.

As for the SMU and Air Force...oops, it sucks for you to know we can beat a top 5 team w/ player like that.  Callahan?  mmm...not so much.

Will Cally get his first win over a top 10 team this year?  It's year 4...hurry up already!!

The Bigger Question is, how long will it take him to pass Solich's winning percentage..
