There’s little doubt about Mayo’s willingness to work. He said he will set a self-imposed curfew of 11 p.m. while he is at USC to keep himself from indulging too heartily in college nightlife.

What few people know about Mayo is that he scored a 29 on his ACT, a number that placed him in the 95th percentile. The NCAA was among the doubters. It asked Mayo for a handwriting sample. He supplied it, and the NCAA supplied him with an apology

Kind of like how Ohio State considers Lebron a Buckeye, I consider OJ a Wildcat.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I beat Mayo on the ACT. Just like I beat him on the court. I'm not impressed.

What were Walker and Beasley's ACT scores?

"If you know anything about West Virginia, you know you don’t have a Hollywood or a Beverly Hills," Mayo said. "You have black and white — I guess you could say trailer-park whites and inner-city black kids.

Well, to be honest, Stunner...we're not really all that surprised by that....only kidding.

So, OJ went to L.A. to get away from all the temptations of West Virginia...and took a documentary film crew with him for his first official visit.  hmmm...29, you say

DeMarre Carroll - Mizzou prize transfer wishes he followed OJ's self imposed curfew.

Head Coach Mike Anderson Statement Regarding DeMarre Carroll

July 5, 2007

COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri junior forward DeMarre Carroll was a victim of a gunshot wound in the ankle early Thursday morning in downtown Columbia, Mo. He was treated and released shortly after the incident from a Columbia hospital. The following is a statement from Mizzou Head Coach Mike Anderson regarding the incident:

"With this being an open investigation there is a lot of information that we don't know at this point in time and certainly can't comment about. Our main concern is for the safety of the victims involved, including DeMarre, but it sounds like everyone is going to be fine.

"This was a scary situation for DeMarre and one we will help him through. We are just very grateful the injuries suffered by everyone involved don't appear to be life-threatening."

The Department of Athletics is working with authorities as they continue their investigation into the crime. Out of respect to the open nature of the case, the Department is unable to comment further.

I wouldn't disagree with the sentiment of him being a better poster but I would disagree with the reason for it that you offer. Stunner is better because he's dumber than a really lame basketball player and I'm worse because I'm smarter* than a really lame basketball player?

Also, you may not like my posts but you're a huge fan of about twelve of my different socks.

Well, if it makes you feel any better.. my parents administer the "class" on how to take it. I don't think I've ever discussed it with them though..

That's funny. The average score for math is lowest of all four parts. The science portion has the highest average.

FWIW, the ACT is biased towards Middle Eastern tennis players.

damn....OJ needs to hit the books harder....I got him beat too.

I thought the science portion of the test sucked balls.  Don't they have a written portion with it now?

Edit:  I guess I also need to take solace in the fact that I make* more than he does (for at least another 11 months...... :'( )
