Another two-time selection by Rivals.com, Franklin helped the Terps land another top 25 class and reeled in Melvin Alaeze.

Melvin Alaeze is a name I wouldn't want my name next to.

Yeah, if you look at the recruiting classes that Maryland had from '03-.05 (the ones where he'd have been there and are available on Rivals) they are pretty much from MD or NC or VA.  Which isn't to say that they were bad classes or that he's a bad recruiter, as much as it says that our part of the country has scarcer resources with just as big of fish.  You can be  "good" recruiter more easily in areas with higher quantities of better athletes.

Good Grief!  Can we have one thread without the blatent anti-Bill Snyder rhetoric?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Are you familiar with the state of Texas?  I've heard that it's relatively close to Kansas and produces a fair amount of football talent.

You ought to inform Franklin of that then.  The point was that he had more talent in his state and in the immediate surrounding states to pull from than he does here.

you're right, there's no talent in kansas.  I'll inform the brown brothers, harper and others that they suck.

That's just point.  There's more of those type of players in MD than there are in KS .  Jesus Christ, what's so hard to understand about populations bases as they relate to talent pools?  When you're recruiting in Maryland and have more talent to be dispursed across all the schools in the area, compared to recruiting in KS with less of a talent pool being dispursed across just as many schools in the area, which is easier?

And as for the Brown Brothers and Harper, hold your breathe until they commit, please.

You might as well.  The Browns have no interest in going to KSU.  The Rons don't have a chance at landing them.

really just playing devils advocate here.

So you're saying that KSU shouldn't expect to get the best in kansas?

Our expectations have really dropped.  :peek:
