How does that have anything to do with Coach Prince's ability to coach?????  I can't believe you actually took the time to look all the crap up!   :ku:  If Prince goes 9-4 this year then he should be the NCOY with our brutal schedule!

At 9-4, is that a W or L in our bowl game?

Good stats chum.  Bob Stoops won a national championship in his second year.  I expect nothing less.

I really hope that Ron Prince is the second coming of Bronco Mendenhall.  Hal Mumme or Frank Solich would also be acceptable.

I hope he doesn't disappoint us with a Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer, or Charlie Weiss-type improvement.

I remember thinking we were terrible for after losing @ A&M in '00 (our second loss of the season, we were #10 in the country and A&M was unranked).

If you are refering to the Baylor game, then yes, I do remember that.  Ron needs to beat ku, AND win at least as many games as last year.  Ron gets NO pass for his scheduling. Good luck Ron.   :blindfold:

If I have to point out to you how irrelevant that statistic is, then you're just as stupid. :poundon:

Damn, you're right.  I'll change it.  I definitely don't want to be a moron, but I'll take being stupid.

I already explained it:

Bronco Mendenhall, Hal Mumme, and Frank Solich vs. Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer, and Charlie Weiss.

Sometimes the cub posts are worth reading.

So is it irrelevant? or is it stupid?

That all depends on you.

If you pick Mendenhall, Solich, and Mumme then you're stupid.

If you pick Spurrier, Meyer, and Weiss then the stats are irrelevant and you're stupid for failing to understand them.

But would they be irrelevant if I picked Mendenhall, Solich, and Mumme?  Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get some clarification.

All did significantly better in their second season than in their first, didn't they?  I'm sure we'll all have a similar expectation for Coach Ron.

    The very best.
I think any sort of improvement on 7-6 will keep him in the good graces.

8-5 would be fantastic.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Hal Mumme is Mike Leach's mentor.

I'd be happy with 7-6 again.  Perfectly reasonable with our ridiculously tough schedule.

According to the above, 8-5 would be average.  Is Coach Ron like the dumb kid in class who gets a "C" and is thought to be doing well?  (I would totally accept that explanation.)

I think we all expect Ron to improve over last season.  Measuring using your parameters above (9-4) is stupid.

If he loses to ku at home and still goes 8-5, right or wrong, people will be upset.  And quite honestly, the only difference b/t 8-5 and 7-6 last year is that we faced a top 20 team in our bowl instead of some scrub team.  We have almost the same schedule as last year, only this year we'll have an experienced QB.

True, but he's got a schedule that also screams at least 6 wins.

this season is SHOULD be pretty easy to predict. 6 wins is the min, 8 wins is the max.
