But Bradley has always been known as much for his volatile behavior as his baseball skills. In 2005, he accused Dodgers teammate Jeff Kent of a lack of leadership and an inability to deal with black players.

Bradley was also suspended for the final five games of the 2004 season when he slammed a plastic bottle at the feet of a fan in the box seats in the right field corner at Dodger Stadium after someone threw it on the field. Nobody was injured.

Bradley had two run-ins with police during traffic stops in Ohio, one that landed him a three-day stay in jail and another that nearly sent him back for a second visit. When he was with the Dodgers, police responded three times to Bradley's home on domestic violence calls, but he wasn't arrested or charged.

Should be an interesting summer, at least.

And this has to be the goofiest MLB mug I've ever seen:

That guy took my order at McDonalds last night. Well it looks like the Royals have found a little room in there self imposed cap. Lets see what happens.

But the deal was cancelled, The Kansas City Star reports, when the Royals learned that Bradley has an oblique injury that prevents him from playing. The newspaper reports that Bradley suffered the injury on a swing in his final at-bat Wednesday against the Reds.

Glad it was canceled!!!!

Let's see.... Royals outfield:  one of their strongest and deepest positions - with several possible trade candidates.

Royals pitching:  One of their weakest spots - 3 starters have not been good (although Elarton just put on DL yay!), bullpen improving.  Nunez should be in the rotation.

How does this make sense?

The guys on 810 were real critical of the deal. Say that he's not a good person and bringing him into your clubhouse could have adverse effects on team chemistry. Were real critical of GMDM for making the deal. Makes me think he's the T.O. of baseball.

    CTR is back on: Hornsdown
But, talent is talent, he has been well-behaved in Oakland.

Does this mean Emil is in his final days as a Royal?

I can't see this move being made w/o him being shipped out soon afterwards.

When he was with the Dodgers he grabbed a bag of balls and tossed them onto the field and threw a ball to the warning track in left field after being ejected for arguing balls and strikes. He also got into a fight with Paul Lo Duca during his time in L.A. and he has fought with Jason Giambi at some point (probably wanted to borrow some of Giambi's 'roids but he wouldn't let him).

This after Cleveland traded him to the Dodgers right before a season began after Bradley had a run-in with Eric Wedge.

He has also thrown bats and batting helmets at umpires.

    I miss him ^^
The thing that's weird is that GMDM learned from John Schuerholz from the Braves...and Schuerholz never signed a guy that was going to affect clubhouse chemistry......ever.

So is the trade still pending or did it get completely scratched?

As far as I know it's off but GMDM said that we may explore the possibility of acquiring him in the future

Interesting column by Joe Po in today's KC Star. He starts off by bashing the Royals for even considering this trade but then he gives three reasons (Bradley has a good relationship with Buddy Bell, trade for him now and hope he plays well so we can trade him again before the deadline and GMDM wants to prove a point that he is ready to do whatever it takes to make the Royals a winner) why it would work.

After reading this maybe it wouldn't be such a bad move after all.
