Bobby Elliot.

Two words that answers all of those questions? God, Snyder must have been high or drunk to pick him after a good run of DC. If anything brought Snyder down to retire it was BEdoit

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Bobby Elliott, JoeBob Clements, Greg Peterson, Micheal Smith, Jim Gush, Mo Lattimore, Matt Miller, and Bob Staley (sp) happened...they forgot to recruit.

Another way to put it, Venables, M. Stoops, and Mangino left in '98.

Phill Bennet did a great job with what he had. If he did not leave, I believe Snyder would still be our HC.

I think Phil Bennett gets too much credit, imo.

Gush was our recruiting link to GCCC while he was their coach.  I miss having a recruiting link to GCCC.

We went from signing DTs like Mario Fatafehi and Corey White to signing DTs like Andrew Bulman, Malcolm Wooldridge (converted to a sucky OL), and Willie Williams (didn't make it).

Kevin Huntley is the name you were trying for. Huntley and Scott Edmonds were both injured in 2004. The following spring and summer, Scott Edmonds convinced himself that he needed and was going to get a medical redshirt, so he didn't even attempt to rehab and get ready for 2005, ignoring the advice of pretty much everyone connected with KSU. He received news half way through the season that the NCAA rejected his preliminary request for consideration, so he attempted a quickie 4-week rehab. He participated in 3 freaking plays his senior year. What a waste. He and Tearrius should've been starting, but instead it was Tearrius "Personal Foul" George and chronically dinged-up Steve Burch, with Seiler rotating in to give them breathers.   :yuck:

We lost Ricky Miller and Cameron Morrah for starters not to mention others that were highly rated.  LB's sucked as well after 03.

Phil Steele said said that the 3. something yards the defense was giving up was some of the worst in Snyders tenure.

Talent and coaching.

Unwillingness to adapt and change to the needs of recruiting and coaching salaries really took their toll.

You fall behind in facilities when the rest of the conference is in an arms race, you start losing recruiting battles you used to win with crap programs like Mizzou, Tech and Oklahoma State.  You don't offer compensation packages comensurate with the upper echelon of a BCS conference, you have a revolving door of a coaching staff.  Bielema bolting to Wisconsin after winning the Big XII titled signified the end of Snyders run, unfortunately.

Snyder for all of his coaching greatness, would still be coaching here if he was much more flexible to adapt to the changing dynamics of the Big XII.

This fan base and university would have given him every imaginable rescource, if he had only asked for it.  The problem was, he didn't think he needed it to compete.
