Hopefully Prince has a sense of humor...

And there isn't a Par 3 course at Wildcat.. I'm pretty sure the only Par 3 course in Manhattan is at Colbert..

You'd be wrong.

Par 3 @ Wildcat.
Par is 30. 30 divided by 3 is 10. It's a 9 hole course.

It may be a 9 hole course, but your mom is a 3 hole course and I filled every one.  Is that a par?
My mom knows your fiance. Thus, I know your fiance. Thus, Clams really knows your fiance. This topic should be addressed in the Chipotle thread. I shall see you over there.

For whatever strange reason, I find the debate about Wildcat Creek's @#%$ty golf course even more entertaining than the photo.  waks (as usual) took this thread to a whole new level as far as I am concerned.
I have a tendency to do that. I feel it adds excitement to the board.

I can't believe I keep clicking on this stupid ass thread expecting there to be something good in it only to, for some other stupid reason, get wrapped up into if this picture was taken at a &@#%ing par &@#%ing three &@#%ing hole when no one should give a flying &@#%.

I guess you guys got me!   :baityes:

30 is closer to 27 than 36.  Plus, the majority of holes are par 3 - very unusual.  I say calling it a par 3 course is allowable.

I think the official name for a short coarse is 'executive'. There is usually a couple of short par 4's to go along with the majority par 3's.

Good point, willie.  The par 4 holes aren't even real par 4 holes.  All the more reason it is allowable to call it a par 3 course.

Executive. Not par 3. Ninja is still wrong.

Calling it a par 3 is allowable because no one knows that term.  Calling it an executive course would only cause confusion.  Some people might even get angry.  Calling it a par 3 course was definitely the smart move.

I agree that we are misusing the term.  I'm just claiming that its use was appropriate nonetheless.  I could be wrong.  If I'm not, Kat Kid clearly owns you.

For the love of god Waks... change that pixelated oversized sig picture.  Now, about the course... somewhere around the 1st and 2nd page break I conceited that it is not a "true" par 3 course.  However, now that you've pushed your extensive golf knowledge onto all of us I guess its time to prove you wrong.

For all intensive purposes a true par 3 course does in fact have a par of 27.  Which makes Wildcat Creek not a "true" par 3 course but come on, anybody who's ever tee'd it up knows that a course layout like WC is closer to a par 3 course that a 9 hole course say with a par of 35.

Now comes the fun part... where you're wrong.  An executive course is in fact a par 3 course, you needn't look any further than Colbert Hills.  Don't tell me you're going to argue with Jim Colbert!  http://www.colberthills.com/page/64-1616.htm

Regardless... tomato / toe maaa toe...  its a little track and calling it a par 3 course is the most accurate.  Now go back to playing Tiger Woods!   :D

I was going off of someone else's use of the word "executive." I had never heard of executive before. Regardless, it still is not a Par 3 course, no matter how close it is to one. And finally, the picture isn't pixilated for me, so I don't feel the need to change it. Thanks for your time.  :shy:

Let the record show that waks is the only one on the face of the planet that is opposed to describing Wildcat Creek as a par 3 course.  I think this matter is settled.

I didn't realize people made signatures so that only themselves cared to see it...  What's the point of that?  Regardless, I see your pic pixaleted on my home computer, but normal on my work.  As soon as you clear your .temp internet files it will start to bother you as well.

Tell ECN to fix it. He's the one that made the picture.

Wow, It's almost like waks is leaching ECN's photobucket bandwidth and someone, who has access to ECN's photobucket, could teach them a lesson by uploading a completely different picture with the same name as the previous...   Something like tubgirl?     :billypopcorn:

It all makes sense as to why it's been pixelated for the past week.
