not the same position and not the same player...but a big time stud turning down USC, Ohio State, Miami, and everybody imaginable to play for....Illinois.

Yep, an Illinois team coming off a 2-10 season.

I know some posters are going to try to come up w/ a thousand reasons why our situation is different or whatever...sorry.  Champaigne is not exactly the nightlife and it's sort of out in the middle of nowhere.  But that doesn't even matter for a high school kid from the home state....beside the point.

It's a stud staying home...and Illinois has not been anywhere close to being as good as KSU has in the last 20 years.

And when Wilson committed..others followed.

I'm telling you...land Freeman, Lamark, Harper, and a few of these cats...Land Arthur Brown and we will get some big time kids in our region.  Namely Missouri, Colorado, and Texas...possibly pull one or two out of Oklahoma.

Prince will get exposure for the program..and he will win games.  We don't know how many yet but season one showed he can do some things.  Land a few of these studs...and all it takes is a few to get the ball rolling.

That is not to imply we will be swimming in 4 and 5 star kids but it has proven time and again you don't need 4 and 5 star kids out the wazzou to have an awfully good football team year in and year out.

The problem is getting the one piece to fall...(or the two pieces...)

I guess Lamark Brown isn't sufficient for that.

The Walker/Beasley Theorem is proven and true.

Look what signing Freeman brought us.  Carson "Peyton" Coffman.  No way we land him without Josh inked.
