What does everyone think of his video?  Seems pretty good IMO.  Hopefully a 3 star.

He made good passes, but they were all to wide open receivers.  I mean that's not a bad thing, because obviously you want to throw to the open receivers and that's more a product of inferior competition than anything, but it does raise the question;  Can he make a hard pass to someone who is covered?

He must be really good at finding open receivers.

Can any HS QB once they get to the college level?  Can god* ?

* = Blaine Gabbert, future college and NFL hall of famer.  Injected only as sarcasm since everyone knows the supreme deity can find open receivers even if the defense has 25 NFL players on the field.

I think Blaine Gabbert has a ton of potential, but I actually think he needs a lot of work. He has great speed for his size, and he has a great arm, but he doesn't set his feet at all when he throws, and a lot of his passes are rainbows that will get picked off in college.

I think he will be good in a few years, but I think Witt and Lee are the immediate post-Keller future.

As an NU fan, I thought Klein looked alright on film. Good touch on his passes, good mobility. Not a cannon arm but on film is pretty accurate. He seems to have a hitch in his throwing motion though and he obviously doesn't run an offense that requires him to be under center. Both things he'll have to adjust to in the college game. He looks like a kid that would be a good manager of your system.

That is what I saw...nothing special.  But QB isn't so much about the strong arm or whatever...it's accuracy, leadership, and smarts.  I will be curious to see the reaction from coaches and some of the rivals people who watch him at the Boulder event.  Sometimes film doesn't give as good of a feel for a kid's tools as seeing them in person.

Rivals can put him where they want...I really don't care. The main thing is that Gabbert was the qb our coaches wanted the most, he has some great qualities, and he is willing to come in and work. He has a good attitude, and if he works hard I think he could be a great quarterback for us in a few years.

Right now I'm actually more excited for Patrick Witt, and Rivals only gave him three stars. Keith Williams, the redshirt freshman offensive guard of ours who was tearing it up in practice and is a likely starter...he too was three stars.

Harrision Beck and David Horne were both hyped four star players, and neither one of them ever did a damn thing.

Recruiting is so hit and miss. This Klein kid you are bringing in could be awesome. I would trust the judgment of your coaches over Rivals. Unless I'm mistaken, the analysts on Rivals weren't college coaches, and they seem to always undervalue midwestern kids.
