there would have been a significant # of posts on all KSU message boards concerning such a quote.  So, no, it's highly unlikely he said anything even remotely close to that.

As bold and daring as I've seen him say anything of that nature was the week of the texas game where he made it sound like they were an NFL hall of fame team and then he grinned, and said, "but having said that I expect us to play well and if we do that we will win the game."

That's a few weeks old, and I sent messages to a couple of you to ask if he really did say it. Supposedly he said it on a radio interview about three weeks back, if I remember correctly.

I honestly don't know if it's true or not, but it has been circulating.

I really doubt he said it. He has said that their goal is to get to the Big XII Championship but he has never given any predictions of any sort. But remember, the Huskers did find out about us getting Ron Freeman a job long before we ever heard anything about it and that turned out to be true. So, you never know...

By the way, if Prince really did say that I guess it's a good thing in that it's clear the goals haven't changed from when Snyder was coach. I do think--if he did say that--he is ahead of himself quite a bit, but in truth you have great talent at a lot of positions on your team except for the line, like he allegedly said. That's the sad thing about your team: you have the playmakers in place, but unless something dramatic changes from last year I think your line is going to hold you back. (I'm not trying to be a jerk...that's just how I see things.)

We kind of have the opposite thing going on on offense. I think we are going to have a good line, but we lack tight ends and our running backs are shot to hell with injuries.
