    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Maybe he just wants to be a normal college student and go to the rec, or just wants to show everyone up that thinks they can take him at the rec. Which would be no one, because BW is the best on campus for a couple more weeks anyway.

I played against Josh Reid and  Pero Vasiljevic at the Rec.

That was easily the highlight of my life so far.

    Overkill. It works.
I played against Jaime Mendez, Kenny McIntyre & later Mike Lawrence, & Eric Hickson.  Granted they were football guys, but THAT was one of the highlights of MY college days.  They were really good guys too.

Thought about it but I decided that an around-the-world trip, 18 new guitars, and a few dozen other things were higher on my priority list.   :D

Who you've played against at the rec is an excellent topic.  Kenny McIntyre:  twice as fast as anyone on the floor.  Purcell Gaskins:  could jump about twice as high as anyone else (obviously), but that's about all he could do - seriously.  I was matched up against Brit Jacobson for three or four games one afternoon.  She was a real bruiser.  And she gave be a pretty good scratch on the arm, too.  Owie.

I'm not nearly old enough to get sucked into the "K-State needs your money more than you do" scam.   :blank:

Yes, that money is reserved for the GOP party (disaster).

Cody Lee Smith wasn't that good at basketball (must have been all the puking), but he had an insanely hot girlfriend, and a really sweet "Cody Lee" tat on his shoulder.

No it's reserved for my entertainment.  Hookers, that sort of thing.   :billypopcorn:

jerome?  if so i sat behind a guy in the student section one year who was yelling at kemp all game and saying how they had snorted coke together.  well every chance he got this kid would stick a finger up to his nose and sniff whenever kemp turned around.  eventually kemp figured out who was yelling at him and then saw him do the sniff/snort thing.  all of a sudden kemp had a look of realization on his face and pointed and sniffed/snorted back at the guy.  the guy then turned around and said "i &@#%ing told you i sold to that assclown."  it was the highlight of the football season for me.

Nathan Leeper jumped clean over the top of my buddies head at the rec and dunked on him.  However, this was not even the highlight of that day, much less my time in college.

    Goomba attack
Recountings of sightings/match-ups at the rec during my time @ KSU:

1. Ben Leber. Huge.  He committed 4 personal fouls in the first half of his playoff game against us.  Our 6'1" post player wasn't trying to flop, he just got literally knocked down every time Ben posted him up.
2. Marc Dunn thought he was pretty awesome.
3. Jon McGraw kneed one of my teammates in the face while blocking his three point attempt.  He was called for a foul (pretty poor call), but it was still hilarious.  Plus, it ended getting a T called on one of their scrubs who complained a lot.
4. Watched Terence Newman jump over a dude on a fast break for an alley-oop dunk.  Awesome.  Half the crowd spilled onto the court in jubilation (this part was hilarious - dudes acting like they were at an And-1 show).
5. Most of the OL from the late 90's played on one basketball team.  They weren't any good, but they could get rebounds since this happened to be when KSU actually had pro-sized OL-men.
6. DeRon Tyler was really short.  Quick hands, lots of steals.
7. Galen Morisson played on the open pick-up courts at the Rec after he got kicked off the team.  He was better at street ball / pick-up games than in a KSU system.  Ballhog.
8. Tony Kitt also at rec after he graduated.  Dominant force

I'm sure there are more.

Played against Erik Martin just after he was hired by Huggins.  Easily the whiniest little bitch I've ever played with on a basketball court.  Only he wasn't little.

Also played against Hoskins and Mario Taybron a couple times.  They can both jump high.

Tyler Hughes sucks, even at the rec.

Nathan Leeper spends more time talking about his shoe deals than actually playing.

Kendra Wecker dominated me one time.

God she was hot.  She was in a journalism course with me.  Made we want to switch majors.

I played against Bill Walker one day first semester before he was eligible to practice with the team and although he had some ridiculous dunks, he spent most of the time 5-10 feet behind the three point line nailing three after three. Granted, we haven't seen that kind of outside shot in any games yet but it still makes me laugh when ku fans say that he doesn't have any range.     :eyeseeyou:

Leber, Monty Beisel, and Jon McGraw were on the same intramural team one year.  We didn't deal well with their size.

And add Beisel to the list of guys that weren't that great at basketball, but had ridiculously hot girlfriends that came and watched them play.
