If we're releasing two and not getting V-dub then we still have a scholly to fill, I assume we got one more in the works

Could someone like Merriweather or Patz get the schollie, rather than leave it open?

I heard somewhere that Merriweather was on academic scholly but I have never heard it anywhere else.. We shouldn't waste the scholarship by just finding someone to fill it. If there aren't any good candidates remaining then we should just hold on to it until next year..

giving a ship to patz this year still leaves it open for next year.

i tend to agree, if we're not going to use it to sign a player this year, might as well reward a walk-on senior.

As long as he has good grades.  Giving a 'ship you can't use to a SR with good grades is a great way to help your APR scores.  Its easier to do in football though.

no way patz has less than a 3.5 gpa.

if he's on track to graduate, it's a nice help to offset any players that jump to the nba that may not be in good standing.
