Never, ever forget that money talks and bull$hit walks.  And Kentucky’s payroll is enormous.  Some of their players, when drafted by the NBA, have complained about their reduction in pay...

I just think it's funny that Huggins couldn't get him.

Wish he would have gone to Florida.

Reason 1) The amazing meltdown that would follow on the Kentucky boards
Reason 2) Now Florida will make Kadji a main target.

During a press conference, Patterson said, "distance was the deciding factor. I wanted to be where people could come see me play."

He wants to stay close to home, and based his college choice off that - but he won't actually play in his home state at WVU for Huggins.

I'm glad Beasley and Walker told PP that Huggs was a dirty liar. :nutkick:

FWIW. Huntington, WV is closer to Lexington, KY than it is to Morgantown... and Huggins lies.

It's basically the equivelant of us losing a Wichita recruit to OSU.  It'd still be emberassing.  The major difference is Huggins is a dirty liar and Frank Martin will kill you.

from uk Rivals:

"Florida and Kentucky, I loved them both," Patterson said. "I went back and forth every single day, every minute until I finally (picked uk). The 'X' factor was the distance. I know (Florida) Coach (Billy) Donovan said he'd do everything he could for my family, moving them out there and finding a house in Jacksonville but I just didn't want to do that to my family.

Wow!  I didn't realize that moving one's family and finding them lodging was allowed by the NCAA...

Ohio State!  Where else can you pay two players big bucks, get caught red-handed, and with only a mild slap on the wrist be right back in business within a year?
