It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I wrote that. Nothing too ground-breaking, but some stuff in there.

Did you see at the bottom of my camp story? Harper wants to play football and basketball in college.

Is Harper dead set on wanting to play both?  A lot of kids say that but then a school like Notre Dame offers for football only and they magically don't want to play basketball anymore.  Also, do you think that Harper's interest in KSU decreases with every offer from better schools?

I think he's intrigued by the prospect of wanting to play both. I don't think it's a dealbreaker. And, yes, he admitted it's harder and harder to keep K-State at the top of his list when more and more schools start calling. But he also said K-State is doing everything right and has been right on top of him. He said there's nothing more they can do.

Thanks J-Mart.  It looks like it's going to be next to impossible to get either A. Brown or Harper with the big boys coming in.  I don't see how A. Brown doesn't choose one of the big boys.  Even if we're doing all we can, that usually isn't good enough, although Ron's been able to get 1 highly rated HS prospect in each of his two classes, so we'll see.

I stand by what I've always said. Arthur Brown is a different dude. He's his own guy. I think he can be had, if K-State shows him this program is on the right track and makes a commitment to recruiting more kids from Wichita. The second part the coaching staff has done, and we'll see how the Wildcats do this year.

That's going to be difficult to do when we get our heads kicked in by Auburn.  With the schedule KSU has, it'll be difficult to show we're on the right track.  Games @Auburn, @UT, @NU, @ OSU....pretty much four losses right there.  Hopefully the Power of One will propell this team to greatness.

That's a good sign to see from this coaching staff.. Hopefully we can have a good year along with their recruiting efforts.. Any chance that you'll be putting anything out on Cooper Bassett?

9 handwritten letters from KSU!!! :dancin:

Arthur Brown should be getting 100 handwritten letters.  A day.

I'm sure A. Brown is receiving several if Chris Harper is receiving them. They are both equally important.

you have to be the biggest pessimist fan i have ever seen. just have some hope, i know you are trying to be "reasonable", but there is always hope. so what if they don't come to kstate, at least for some time we can have that little chance at thinking he might come.
