At Auburn - L This game reminds me a lot of the Fresno State game in 2004. It just gives me that feel. I think we'll come out of there having thrown a lot at them, and as long as we don't get ran out of town, I think this game will have a positive impact on our season.
San Jose State - W Nice way to recover, either way the Auburn game turns out. This team is capable of hanging around with us, however.
Missouri State - W Hopefully we don't lose either of these two home games, or this could be a long season.
At Texas - L I would love for us to go into Austin and beat Texas for the second straight year, but we can lose this game without it hurting us. All of the other north teams have to play OU/Texas as well.
Kansas - W I'd love to run it up on ku again. ku has been poor on the road under Mangino, especially in Manhattan. Lets keep it that way.
Colorado - W They will be better, and even if the coaches kid gets the job, this is a tough road game for a freshman. I don't see them getting that much better in one year.
At Oklahoma State - L I see this game at about 50/50, and it could be a very key swing game.
Baylor - W Seems to be the theme that our home game's shouldn't be too difficult. Shouldn't...
At Iowa State - W This would be our first road win, unless we win the swing game. Hopefully a repeat of the Colorado game from last year, although Ames is a tough place to play.
At Nebraska - W Another swing game, and if we win this one and the OSU game, it would take a lot for us to lose the north. If we lose OSU game, but beat NU, we are looking at 6-2 in Big 12 with the Tie Breaker against the favorite.
Missouri - W Like ku, they have been horrible on the road. Chase Daniel does have something that BS never did, a win against us... I like us winning this game in Manhattan.
At Fresno State - W Let's get the bastards back for what they did in Manhattan in '04. And while we're at it, play dirty too.
So I have us in a range of 9-3 to 7-5. The key games being OSU and NU. A win such as Auburn or Texas would be nice to have along the way... But beating NU and losing to OSU and UT in Big 12 play, with no missteps, very well could mean a North Champion team.
Either way, it looks like we're going bowling.
