Well, when Jack Vanier left the board of ADM he held 13.7 million shares of ADM common stock, if he still holds that many shares today, that alone is worth $489 million. Toss in years of getting paid dividends by ADM, his other holdings blah, blah, blah. I think Jack Vanier qualifies as being rich.
Warren Staley a KSU alum is Chairman and CEO of Cargill . . . depending on who you ask, Cargill is either the 1st or 2nd largest privately held company in the United States, and he also sits on the boards of BancCorp and Target. I bet he's got a few bucks. I know he gave a undisclosed amount of money to the KSU Center for Leadership Studies.
Bill Porter the Founder of Etrade got his masters degree in Physics from KSU, and he just gave KSU $1 million dollars for scholarships.
John Hoffmeister the President of Shell Oil has two degrees from KSU.
That's just a few examples of KSU alumni that I am pretty sure all qualify as rich.
