This is one of the first MB threads that has made me feel old.  People my age with facebooks (30+) are fairly strange IMO.

QFT.  I really don't know what facebook is other than assuming it's another networking site.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Another way for younger folks to demonstrate that they have no real life outside of something that deals with technology?  :peek:

I heard about it while standing in line to buy viagra and depends.   Get with the times.

Actually, it's basically a free version of Classmates.com or Reunion.com;  I've caught up with a few friends from highschool because of it.

it was much cooler when it was just major university students allowed on it.  JCCC wasn't on it.  high school kids weren't on it.  old people weren't on it(unless they were students.)  then they sold out.

also, the "so-and-so is in a relationship!" and "so-and-so wrote on so-and-so's wall!" and "so-and-so has added new photos!" stalkerish messages that it logs and then sends to all friends is creepy as hell.

basically, facebook has sucked for the last year or so.

agree; I hate the ticker thing; I just want to see my profile and my wall.   But I disagree about letting HS kids on it; How else could stunner stalk FB recruits?

They should have made a special feature for high profile high school athletes.

It's disgusting that my 12 year old brother and his friends have facebook.  It went from being a convenient way to communicate and contact people at K-state and ku, to being xanga/myspace 2.0 with a stalkerish twist.

It's comparable to a party.  Invite only, it's great.  You and a bunch of friends having a good time.  There's a few girls making out with eachother.  Everyone is enjoying.

Suddenly the girls parents walk in.  And their siblings.  And a bunch of 7th graders excited to be at a party.  The girls stop making out.  The party starts sucking hardcore.  Everyone that was originally there decides to leave.

That's a pretty good example, because I know a lot of pictures of girls making out have disappeared because suddenly their parents can see their photo albums on facebook.

It sucks.

It sucks.

*sigh*  no.

She's got her facebook locked down tighter than a pickled 10 year old.  From reading some of the comments on the flickr sight, I can see why! (there are many more than just me pervin' all over her)

Correction:  Her facebook now no longer appears in a search for her name.  She apparently deleted it.
