    warm up the EMAW
16-3 through 7.

7 homers given up by Royals pitchers.  Three by Musser last inning.

These aren't accidents either (well, maybe the pitches) plenty of splash shots.

I almost feel bad because this is like a homerun derby.

gil meche is the only good thing the royals have going for themselves...they might as well just not show up on the other four nights he's not pitching.

I love 810 during royals season

"I swear! This team is different!" -random loser royal player
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I am really cheering for the Royals to lose 100+ games again this year.  I'll be disappointed if they don't.

I listened to the Royals give up 3 home runs to right field in the 7th today after they had cut the lead to 12-3.   :frown:

And it was on kid's day no less, when KC had brought a bunch of elementary kids to the game.  It was like a loud scream whenever the Royals did something well.  There weren't many screams.  Embarrassing home stand.

Looks like its back to same old Royals and I'm left waiting until football.

They won't. GMDM has them going in the right direction.

The NEW YORK YANKEES lost two games, giving up 29 runs in those two games, in the same fashion this week.

You're delusional.  The Royals are the Royals, they suck.  It's not just this one game, it's the plethora of other games, the ruining of talent (specifically, but not limited to pitching), the mismanagement of a small budget, and the inability or rather the lack of desire to spend the money to compete when they know that is the only way to win.

What do you think spending $55 million on Gil Meche is a sign of? He may not have been the most sought after Free Agent on the market but at least the Royals went head-to-head with someone and won for a change. We've also got Alex Gordon and    Billy Butler to build around. Yeah.....It's going to take awhile but at least we've got a direction which we never had under the GMAB regime.

Fantastic, the managed to pay one player.  And they're now stuck with Sweney, who they are now never going to get anything out of (besides a trip to the DL) because they didn't get rid of him last year or in the off season.  Yippie.  They've got two guys (Gordon and Butler) who might get it going in year 3 or 4, just in enough time for them to Johnny Damon their way out of town because the Royals can't/won't pay both of them, and then they are stuck in the same hole because their minor leagues are terrible.  The "direction" they are going in is the same one that Baird had them in, except it's just someone different saying it.  It won't matter who is the GM until they decide to pony up and increase their salary consistently and substantially year after year.

You're right. It is up to ownership but I have to believe that GMDM, coming from the Braves organization, knows what it takes and that the ownership is going to learn from their mistakes and give him whatever he needs to get it done.

If KSU can have a successful football program anything is possible!

i'm not gonna judge Dayton Moore quite yet on the job he's done with the Royals so far...the signing of meche is turning out great, of course nothing else is going well right now but it's the royals so its' gonna take more than a GM to get things turned around. if they can get some good pitching in on the rotation to complement meche and the somewhat decent greinke, they have a shot at winning. they definitely will have to struggle to win until david glass opens up his wallet some more, but heck if GMDM can get a couple more gil meche's, a reliable closer, and develop the young offensive talent, the royals really do have a shot at success over the next couple of years.
