Nevermind just more prestige from Wichita

A high-ranking official at a Kansas college appeared in court today, accused of traveling to Johnson County for sex with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl.
Wayne Russell Morgan Jr., 51, of Haven, Kan., is the associate vice president of academic affairs at Friends University in Wichita. He is charged with electronic solicitation of a child under 16.
Morgan was arrested about 12:15 p.m. Saturday as a part of an online predator sting conducted by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said the man had chatted online for more than a year with a sheriff’s deputy he believed was a teenager.
University officials issued a written statement saying Morgan had been placed on administrative leave today pending further investigation. He has been employed at Friends University for less than a year.
Officials said he had little contact with students. His duties were primarily administrative, they said, and included overseeing outcomes assessment, adjunct faculty and university research.
“We are extremely shocked and saddened by this unfolding event, and as we are informed we will keep the University community updated,” officials said in their statement. “Please join us as we keep the Morgan family in our thoughts and prayers.”
Johnson County deputies said they are working with outstate Kansas authorities to execute search warrants in hopes of determining whether the online communications originated from a computer at work or at home.
