You guys did well.

Did Figurs go where you expected him to? I don't know much about scouting or Figurs, but on his speed alone I figured he would go higher.

Also, I was happy that our Brandon Jackson got to go in the second, but imo that is way to high when you consider he didn't test real well, he had injury problems, and he was in a four-man rotation last year. I think the Packers thought they might get lucky with a Nebraska running back again, but I don't see it.

I think Figurs figured to be a 4th round pick, maybe 5th before his 40 time bought him some buzz.

Yeah, I got a good laugh out of that one.  WTF?

I knew Cornish probably was not going to get drafted or at least would be late 7th round after he didn't do well at the Shrine Bowl and the combine, but Thomas Clayton? This must be one of those picks based entirely on potential, because Cornish was one hell of a better running back in college. However, we had a better O-line last year than you did so maybe people felt he could be a good back with better surrounding personnel. Also, we don't get much publicity nationally in the first place so I'm sure that hurt Cornish as well. Hopefully Talib gets picked decently high next year so ku can get some positive publicity for the program.

By the way, I had no idea Figurs was 4.3 40 fast, that's insane. He probably would have shredded Anthony Webb last year, as much as I hate to admit it he probably would have been a huge factor against us and the score might have been closer in Lawrence, but we'll never know. I'm glad he's gone this year

I don't see any potential in Clayton.

I don't see much potential either, I'm just trying to rationalize why anyone would draft Clayton. I still have no f*cking idea

I can't wait until ku fires the fat bastard and hires a real coach.  With the new football facilities on the way and a coach who doesn't weigh nearly half a ton, ku football has the potential to be pretty good.

LOL @ 39-20 with Mangino as head coach.

Yes, lol.  That is what happens when a team loaded w/ freshman coming off a big win and w/ out half the team turn the ball over 6 times.  It leads to "lol" posts by fans of bowl-less teams.

He has the look. Now they just need to teach him how to break a tackle.

It sucks that Echols didn't get picked up..
