    The very best.
2006 stats:
17.5    - 81      11.5    - 67     :notworthy:

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I bet he rushes 3 out of every 4 plays that he is out there.

One of the reasons is that it is Bold to move him to the stand up position while the other reason is that it is daring to have him upright.

that's probably true, and one of the things i've been picking up playing with a "3-4" on madden. 3-4 is nice because you can run alot of crazy zone defense, like when you rush the OLB's and have the Dends dropback and thus the QB sh1ts his pants, and throws right into the paws of a DE***

yes, zone blitzing is key to the 3-4.  Hopefully with the same effect that pittsburg had in the mid 90's when they brought it back with kevin greene.

Out of the 3-4 you can also overload the blitz to the weakside, or the middle.  The oline has to make all kinds of adjustments in a split second if excecuted properly.

That was a 3-4 in name only, he was in a 3 point stance the majority of his career, and rushed pretty much every down.

Derrick Thomas is dead.
Plus he left behind many children, all from different mothers.  8)

As soon as I heard about the 3-4 move w/ Campbell going to OLB this is immediately the role I thought of...loved watching how they did it and Cushing basically passed rushed every single play though they mixed it up beautifully where they came from.  The beauty of the 3-4 is the multitude of blitzes from all angles and w/ different players.

http://usctrojans.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/cushing_brian00.html

"2006: Cushing, who started 4 times in 2005 at strongside linebacker, started all of his 2006 sophomore season as a stand-up defensive end in USC's hybrid 3-4 "Elephant" defense. Overall in 2006 while appearing in all 13 games, he had 57 tackles, including a team-best 13.5 for losses of 52 yards (with 4.5 sacks for minus 33 yards), plus a deflection, a forced fumble, a blocked punt that he returned 21 yards (at Washington to set up a USC field goal) and a 42-yard scoring kickoff return of an onside kick (against Notre Dame). He made the 2006 Collegefootballnews.com Sophomore All-American third team, All-Pac-10 second team and Scout.com All-Pac-10 second team. He won USC's John McKay Award (most competitive spirit). He missed some of 2006 spring drills while recuperating from shoulder surgery."
