1.  Didn't both teams have some key injuries last season for the ku/K-State game?

2.  Is Yamon Figurs going to petition for another year of eligibility at K-State, and if not, who the hell is going to be your excuse next season?

3.  Did you enjoy the Texas Bowl?

1.  No.  Name a "key" injury for ku going into that game or even during that game?  Your entire OL, Fine, Cornish, Meyer, and Murph started that game...and finished it.  Where defensively?  Allen, McClinton, the big DT from Garden, the LB's, Talib...all played.  Look at KSU's secondary.  Baldwin out.  Watts out.  Lose Williams during the game.  Lose Moore during the game.  Herndon out.  Not sure if Junior Moran even played as he missed the two previous games.  Figurs out.  Nelson was half-Nelson.  Moreira out.  Stringer out.

2.  Won't need an excuse.  Nelson back to full health now.  Pierce, Murphy, Lamark, Woods, and/or Hogan all better options than Gonzales.

3.  Sure, we went to a bowl and you didn't in year 5 of Mangino.

FYP.  Can't forget about the fastest kid in Kansas.

Woods isn't even a D-1 football player. That guy should be suiting up for Kansas Wesleyan this fall. Counting on major contributions from a bunch of guys (especially high schoolers) that weren't even involved in spring football is nuts.

You're right, he's not.  What about LaMark Brown?  Ernie Pierce?  Danny Hogan?

Was Brown a receiver in high school? I thought most everyone was recruiting him to play linebacker. Pierce and the Deon kid would probably stand the best chance of playing but JUCOs are like a box of chocolates-you never know what you're going to get. Its quite a shock to the average recruit at how different D-1 football is, especially for a high school kid. Purify didn't get here until late last summer and it took him quite a while to get acclimated. He was much higher rated than Pierce is coming out of JUCO. Frantz Hardy was a 4 star coming out of Butler with offers from NU, Auburn and some other big programs. Its taken him two years to make a big contribution and hopefully he'll step it up during this his senior year.

The parts in bold mean nothing.  That is not to say both are not talented but rankings mean zero.

True, never know what we'll get w/ JC's and, true, going to D-1 is a shock but there are plenty out there who acclimate and get it done.  While Purify was not getting it instantly he was playing pretty well by early in the Big 12.  James Terry did well right off the bat for us a few years back.

As for Brown not playing receiver in high school....not a big deal.  Plenty of high school QB's and RB's end up playing receiver in college.  Two notable were Anquan Boldin and Quincy Morgan.

Brown has the brains and obviously the bod needed to be a good player at any position.  It might take a while, but he should be fine.

This will not be a top KSU team (91, 93-2003 were all better) but no way will we lose to ku in Manhattan. Freeman will be pulled quick (see Webb in 2005 against ku) if the TO's are piling up. Prince is smart enough to know a home loss to the Chickens and he is in extra hot water.

KSU 24
ku  10

1.  Eric Washington, ku's leading tackler and fastest linebacker, was out for the season with a neck injury.  Allen, Meier, and Stuckey were less than 100%.  The bottom line is that injuries are a part of the game.  Quit trying to make excuses.

2.  If Nelson is your #1 receiver, you guys are in trouble.

3.  Glad you enjoyed the Texas Bowl.  It was a great game.

    The very best.
12 bowls in 14 years. Amazing. Kansas State football.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Wow, Maxell.  I didn't realize your coaching was so pathetic.  You have guys higher rated than our guys and yours still can't perform or develop.  Sounds like your basketball team.

Nothing to comment here, just testing an idea for an image based on the new slogan.

constructive criticism if you want it.

1. I like the idea, but the layout of the font feels awkward.

2. It's okay to start a new thread.
