Does anybody have them because I'd love to hear them?  No more of this overzealous, "the Defense/Freeman/Running Backs are amazing sh*t", somebody tell us how we actually looked.

whats the big deal with freeman?

We all know there's been a conspiracy. Only the failures have been recorded.

Here are my unbiased comments from Saturday's snooze fest:

Offense:
QB: Carson Coffman looked efficient, has decent arm strength, and seems to be fairly accurate.  How this actually translates to a game, I have no idea.  However, he carries himself with confidence.  Josh Freeman was, as Bill Walton might say, teeeerrrrrrible.  He looked like the same guy that played against ku, throwing off his back foot, hesitating, and making some very questionable decisions.  If he even resembles this same guy down at Auburn, KSU will not escape with their dignity.  As has been mentioned, he didn't really have anywhere to go on a lot of throws, so he had to force things.  He gets a bad grade for Saturday, but I'm willing to give him time.  Oh, and the third string guy... stick to long-snapping.

RB: Patton  is now #9 and didn't play.  James Johnson looked pretty good (he is still fast but a little bigger), but didn't play a ton or seem to get a lot of carries.  KSU will be fine at this position.  Terry Petrie is no Danny Morris, and that is a very good thing.  Oh, and if Jeremy James (the top back on the purple team) sees any meaningful carries this year, start camping outside of Bramlage immediately.  He makes me long for the glory days of Ross Snyder.

WR / TE: Lump these two together, because, well, meh.  Jordy Nelson got doubled all night by Coach Tibs defensive scheme (brilliant, by the way).  Daniel Gonzales runs as well as Pedro Cerrano hits curveballs.  I have high hopes that Matt Wykes will be Jordy Nelson Jr.  Cedric Wilson got open a few times, but never could make the grab when he did.  In short: if Lamark Brown, Ernie Pierce, and Danny Hogan don't come in this fall and get substantial playing time, then that means that Jordy Nelson is was cloned and that clone was put on an advanced aging program so that three Jordy's are on the field at all times.

Line: Who knows, honestly?  The purple line got blown up by Campbell and Walker all night and Jeremy James was met very often 5 yards in the backfield.  The white line gave Coffman some time to throw and opened 3 or 4 good running holes (all night) for Johnson/Petrie.  Alesana & Stringer didn't play.  It's still possible that getting those two back and taking the best of the lines for both teams could patch together a decent unit, I suppose.  Perhaps 40% chance.  They are very tall though -- that's the one definite positive I can say about this group.  Height.  Woooo!

Defense, ST later maybe.  If anyone is curious.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

My unbiased opinion?   I bumped into Lamark Brown and he was &@#%ing huge. Had two small guys with him, but I couldn't read their name tag as I was too in awe of L-Brown's stature... greek god.   He honestly looks like an NFL player right now.

To be perfectly honest with ya, it looked a heck of a lot like the '06 team did. Offense has a playmaker or two (rb's) o-line struggled, and in turn Freeman did. WR are slow, couldnt get open.
The main difference I saw was the secondary. They looked faster, a lot more aggressive, and the new scheme looks to be serviceable (vs ksu's O at least).

in short: D was better, O looked a lot like it did for 9 of the 13 games in '06 (not good).
