I'll go ahead and say it. He sucked. Horribly. He didnt have a clue out there. Granted, his WR/OL were pretty bad, but his decision making is absolutely attrocious. When he had time to throw, he was locked in on one WR, didnt check down (or just assumed the check and threw it to the rb).
He's had a few good games as a frosh, but had some terrible ones as well.
I'm not saying he shouldnt be the starting qb, he definately should. I'm sayin the lovefest for him needs to end until he can sustain some success. He's young, blah blah blah.....but he's still the qb, and needs to produce.

on a side note....carson looked impressive, he's a pretty salty qb

But at least he had a top notch running back on his side.

Freeman last year was awesome when he had protection. I wouldn't jump off his bandwagon just yet, especially over a spring game.

In my opinion he has 3 things hurting him right now:

1) Poor offensive line against great defensive line

2) Lost Yamon Figurs, Jordy Nelson was doubled, and the other receivers haven't come around yet

3) I hesitate to say this because you might get pissed, but I think Prince threw Freeman into the fire too quickly, and Prince was also wrong to give him such an easy trip to the first team while simultaneously chasing Lopina and Evridge off. The impression I get is that Josh is the lone guy right now, and he is collapsing under the weight of everyone's expectations.

This is just my opinion, and if it bothers any of you I apologize.

Don't apologize. We don't view you as some biased Husker fan who is always saying negative crap about us. Hell, we're more negative about ourselves than you are. If anything, it makes us uncomfortable that a Husker fan is being so unbiased with us.

Freeman will be fine. Texas and Oklahoma State weren't flukes. He might have confidence issues now, which can be corrected, but he is still a valuable qb. Also, the extra work he is doing by organizing extra practices will pay off.

The silver lining is that you now appear to have a good back-up in Coffman. I wasn't expecting that. He needs to add weight, but now if Freeman gets injured you aren't completely screwed.

Anyway, good night.
