I never wrote it. Three reasons why:

1. D. Scott Fritchen wrote a comprehensive piece weeks ago, and I don't like to make a habit of repeating stories everyone else on the beat writes.
2. Any time Prince wants a story written about his program, he's not bashful about giving up the details, making sure we all know how good his players are. He's fine with dictating what we write. But when we want to do our jobs, which means original thought, he gets defensive and says he doesn't want outside influences "setting our agenda."
3. All anyone has written in the gushy, positive stuff. What about the kids who got frostbite? What about the kids who quit as a result of that trip? Never heard a word about those people.

Sorry, I never wrote that article. But I'm glad Fritch and Howard did.  :)

I just want to point out the touching Josh Freeman quote from Richman's article:

Quote
“We’re playing a game. They’re preparing for war,” Freeman said. “They could die.”

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

A buddy of mine from middle school/ high school/ K-State just returned from his second tour in Iraq. He has muscle damage to his shoulder from shrapnel. (from an IED)  I don't see the humor here, even with an emoticon.

Wait.  Our team went over to Ft Riley for a 4 hour workout with the troops and it cause more than one player to get frostbite and more than one player to quit the team?

What a bunch of pussies.

Somebody send me a PM when JT finally realizes that Fatty is an Iraqi.  I smell a flame war.

J. Mart, you are the only Journalist I trust.  You cannot leave your deciples at this (you can but I don't want you to).  Give us the nasty bits now so we don't have to hear it from the Lawrence Star guys!  I want a KSUFANS premium article about the goings on.

This is too interesting not to bump.

Prince is such a hero.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Although I know you're joking, you're still a dumbass.

And a horrible poster.
