What if ku and K-State were one school?  You've got to think that The Kansas University would have the best football and basketball programs in the nation.  The only other schools that could compete with us would be Ohio State, Texas, Florida, and possibly Louisville. 

Our basketball team would be sick:

PG: Collins
SG: Chalmers
SF: Rush
PF: Beasley
PF: Arthur

Bench: Walker, Kaun, Jackson, Sutton, Robinson, Aldrich

That team would be almost unbeatable.  As it is, we've got one school with an elite basketball program, and another school with a recently successful football program that has fallen into mediocrity over the last few seasons.  Let's get Lew Perkins and ADTW on the phone and make this happen.  We'll just consider K-State west campus and go from there.

I've thought about that before.  It would be amazing.  Roy Williams and Bill Snyder as bb and fb coach in the 90's.  Just shows how pathetic Mizzou and Nebraska are.  Oh and Walker would start.  Your BBIQ should be better than that.  Arthur rides the pine.

The football team would be pretty good with KSU's skill players on offense and ku's offensive line (I think...at least I heard they were good from spring reports).  The defense would also be solid with McClinton, Rivera, and Talib filling in our defense.

I've never thought about it, but you're right.

The same could be said for OU/OSU though.

Without having to compete over the same football recruits, our teams would have collectively been better over the last few years as well.

Just for craps and giggles, let's say Rush goes pro.
