    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

he sounded sincere.  and he won't recruit against us!  he's like a mini roy (the nice ku one, not the scumbag unc one).

You can't be racist and like basketball.
The quick Martin hire and criticism let Weiser and Wefald off the hook too easily for letting Huggins go.

How could they have not been ready for this?

He contacted Arkansas.  No one, not even Huggins expert Gregg Doyel, thought him to be a reprobate of that magnitude.

His words just bounce right off of me. How can you believe anything he says ever again?

Another crowd consists of those that are largely indifferent.  He was pretty mediocre for us.  We only made the NIT for &@#%'s sake.  And we still get his recruiting class and connections.

I'm with sys - I still like Huggs, except I'm taking the Jim Rose approach:

I feel sorry for Huggins.  He could have been part of a great thing.

    Ready for Maize girls!
how can so many of you still crap on huggins?  sure, its like getting dumped by a super-hot girl, but then we just turned right around and made out with her sister.  not bad, especially when you consider that her sister is friends with mike beasley, dominique sutton, jake pullen and fred brown.

:loly:  You're loyal to a coach that stabbed your team in the back?  I'm not sure the world loyal means what you think it means.  Or, if it does maybe you would better served putting your loyalty with your University.

Not recruiting against us?  Huh?  Am I the only one who remembers reading a Dominique Sutton quoteo saying that Huggins called him and said that he could make room for him and Beasley at WVU?

No, like Huggins didn't.  Again, just reiterating above post but, I don't think "loyalty" means what you think it means.

It wasn't YOUR team, It's Huggin's team and he just gave it to you.....be thankful

Like, dislike, love or hate. I don't know Huggins. He is a good coach, but has personal demons like the rest of us. Is he a loyal person? He was loyal to Cincy for 16 years. He probably would have still been there if not for being fired. Would he have left Cincy for WVU? He stayed once, in 2002. In 2007? We don't know. As for the players and recruits, I don't know what they are feeling. If they feel betrayed, I can accept that.
When it comes to a man like Huggins, I don't like him, I don't hate him. What I liked, what excited me for K-State, was what I thought Huggins would do for the basketball program. And in that respect, he left a ton of potential. For the fans, he left us wanting more, knowing how close we were to the NCAA's.
For our own good, we should loose the animosity towards the man and focus on the potential of the 2007 K-State basketball team.

&@#% that noise.

i'm thankful for the coaches/class he left us.  but it was also the coaches/recruits decision to stay, not huggins.  he would have taken all of them to WVU if possible, and anyone who thinks otherwise is incredibly naive.

i don't think the one year he gave us is enough to make me like him after the way he left.  maybe if he had given us more time/accomplished more and then left, i could still respect him.  but one very short NIT run, and then pretty much &@#%ing everyone over(including the recruits and to an extent the assistant coaches) before leaving doesn't make me say "Gee, thanks for the good times Huggs, good luck at your new job!"
