i suppose you could point to the ou, ku, and mu programs, currently crippled by the harsh punishments the ncaa has slapped them with.  and the broken, spiritless state of their poor fans, unable to shake off the enduring shame of having broken the regulations.

Relax, I'm not attacking the guy.  I am just genuinely curious how he is connected.  He says "the word is already out on the recruiting trail..." Which made it sound to me like he was somehow connected in those circles.  I was merely asking out of curiosity...not to somehow say his opinion doesn't matter.  I'm sorry you misunderstood the tone of my post.

I'm going to call ADTW tomorrow and ask if KSU is looking for a head women's bowling coach.  I'd even work for free as long as I got my picture in every media guide and won some "XII Coach of the Year" award every six years or so.

You're right, anyone that says things like "word on the recruiting trail" is at least trying to act like he is "in" with the scene.  Reminds me of the guys that swirl the wine around in their mouths (before spitting it out) and ask me if I notice the hints of loganberry and orange peels.  Those guys annoy the hell out of me.
