The thing most fans will like is that the way we are running the 3-4 is way more agressive than what we did last year. This will probably be the most agressive defense at K-State since 03. Now, what we'll have to see is if we have enough playmakers to make it work. I think we've got many of the pieces we need, my only worry is getting washed up front by big physical teams that will run right at you, but fortunately there aren't a ton of those teams left.
As for Campbell, from what I've seen he's looked great at the OLB spot. The keys right now is what kind of play we'll get from Moran (or whoever) at NG, what kind of effect Abana will have, and what kind of play we'll get from the opposite OLB spot, which right now is Childs. I think our secondary will be one of the better units we've seen in several years.
My impression in comparing to last year is that this defense will make many more "big plays" than last years, but we will probably give ups some more. Early in the year we were able to keep everything underneath in the Tampa 2 scheme, but as the year went along and injuries mounted as well as opponents finding holes on film, we gave up more and more big plays. I think for the most part the majority of fans will enjoy watching this defense.
