Julian to go pro?

No Link, but according to both Sasha Kaun and two of the basketball managers that were out last night, he and Rush are expected to declare for the draft in the next few days.

Re: Julian to go pro?
I wonder if players and others close to the program like to tell people these things just to see if it'll get posted on a message board somewhere.

At any rate, IN.

Re: Julian to go pro?
Funny, I know Sasha well and he told a mutual friend the exact opposite last night.  I think he didn't want to talk to you any more so he was just making things up to get you to leave him alone.

Let this be a lesson to pathetic jersey chasers everywhere...

Re: Julian to go pro?
I saw Sasha pass out at 31 Flavors last night! I guess it's pretty serious. I any case this Sasha alibi completely negates your story.

I dont know...this could be real.  I just heard from a friend that a jet has landed at Forbes with a red, white, and blue logo resembling Jerry West.

In all my time in Lawrence, I seldom ran into players.  Guess they did not frequent the Bull that often.

Re: Julian to go pro?
i honestly expect both to declare, and it wouldn't surprise me if Chalmers, collins, and arthur did the same.  ....and then go through the nba work outs, and pull out before the deadline.....why wouldn't you do that?  you can see where you stand compared to others simliar to you, you get a good work out...you make contacts.  I would be very surprised if a number of our players didn't do that.

Re: Julian to go pro?

I don't know why Wright would declare now.  He hasn't even put his nametag out there for any scouts to really throw around, unlike Rush.  I'm going to assume everyone comes back for next season until there is proof otherwise.

Re: Julian to go pro?

My roommate is a manager and told me that this is a baseless rumor. He said that everything he's heard from players and coaches point to everyone being back next year.

The reason they would not do that is because it costs money to do that the only guys on the team that should do that are Rush and Chalmers because his dad is an assistant coach so maybe they can afford it. Do you know how much money it costs to fly to different places for work outs especiall if you buy the plane tickets close to the time of the flight? I BELIEVE the other guys are poor and I know Collins is his mom lives in the ghetto and Wright is from Chicago too.

If I were them I would think to myself hey i'm going to be in the NBA NEXT year and an agent will pay for my things if they didn't think they would PROBABLY declare there is no point because they would be getting by without any money the next year, it would affect their lifestyle more than they would want.

Re: Julian to go pro?
I am so IN.

These managers know their stuff.

I saw Julian Wright at Wal-Mart last night and if he is going pro, there is no way in hell he'd be shopping at Wal-Mart.

Is Trip-Hogs actually Don Imus?  Or maybe Fisher DeBerry.

The dream scenario..

We get Beasley, Sutton, Pullen, Brown to honor their LOI's. Walker joins them. Hoskins (beast), and Stewart return.

Meanwhile, ku loses Rush and Wright to the draft.

Um, I'll take KState over ku in Manhattan next year.

I doubt this happens.  Not with Cole Aldrich coming in as the final piece to the championship puzzle.
