In basketball
Huggins gets hired away by West freakin' Virginia
Billy G gets hired away by Kentucky
Kelvin Sampson hired away by Indiana
Hell not even ku could keep Roy Williams
Bill Self and Rick Barnes are the only ones that were hired away from a BCS conference job(Knight was forced out at Indiana, doesn't count)
We've had ONE team in the national championship game in the last decade (ku losing to Cuse), no victories
In football
Fran leaves Bama in order to go to A&M
Hawk leaves a wildly succesful Boise St to go to Colorado
Mack Brown leaves Kentucky to go to Texas
No head coach has been hired away to another BCS job(at least that I can think of right now)
We've have a team in the national championship basically every other year over the last decade (OU like 3 times, Texas 05, Nebraska twice) And three seperate programs with a national championship in that span.
I'm sure I'm leaving a lot out. But it's like the Big XII basketball is just a sideshow and stepping stone for coaches and they leave once they have success.
In football, it's like the exact opposite.
