Henson currently is on the staff at Nevada-Las Vegas, headed by former K-State great and coach Lon Kruger. Kruger said he wasn’t interested in the K-State opening, but he highly recommends Henson.

“I think Steve would be an outstanding candidate. That would be a great fit for Steve,” Kruger said. “He does a great job developing the skill level of players, and he has a great feel for the game.”
