Ernie Pierce ran a 10.6*.  We already know about LaMark Brown and Danny Hogan.  I heard from a friend that Wilson has really stepped up**, and could be our best receiver, which is saying a lot because Nelson is a stud.

Not trying to be a tard.  We may have some legit threats.

*He's 6'4'' 205!!!  Also a driven person, so hopefully he uses his athletic ability wisely.
**We should only recruit Florida.

Does One Solid season when nobody knew who he was really constitute stud-dom?

If Jordy stays healthy, he will be a stud this coming season.  And as we all know that will mean getting more attention.  Which equals Pierce and/or LaMark in man coverage.   Stuff some skill and brains into our OL real quick and it could be a better season than we think.

Apparently Hogan signed a LOI with Hutchinson JUCO.  Is he going to qualify?

It sounds like Wilson could be a burner.  Comparable to Yamon!

I had totally discounted Wilson but based on recent pictures and talk, he may be a good player afterall.

And if Pierce's speed translates to the field, lookout.

And Lamark.

Hogan, please qualify...

I have heard some good things about Wilson too, and I thought he'd have his shot coming in.  If he can have a good spring, then he very well lock up the number 2 spot, if not the number 1.

If this situation pans out, 8 or 9 wins seems more probable.

Wilson stepping up is the best news we could have gotten this spring.  We needed a WR to step up opposite Jordy and he's really the only one on the roster right with the talent to do it.  Sounds like he's biggers stronger and faster.  I'd look for some of our other second year JC guys to make moves as well.  So many of them came in late last year at the end of the summer and were playing catch up all season long.  They've had a year in the weight program now and they know the schemes I'd look for guys like James Johnson, Rob Jackson, Ray Cheatam, Brandon Balkcom and Justin Roland to make moves this year as well.

We get a little too caught up in the young players we forget experience does matter.  Right now everyone is talking up the two jc o-lineman that are coming in the fall but I'll tell you right now it's unlikely either contributes much if at all next year.  It just doesnt' happen very often for JC o-lineman especially if they don't go through spring ball.  They always come in out of shape and it takes time to learn the system and the techniques.  Cali JC kids usually have talent but are not as ready to play as kids from Kansas and Texas JC's where the coaching is generally better.

Cedric Wilson will be the best receiver in the big 12 next year.  You heard it here first.  He has been dominating spring practices and nobody could contain him in the secondary.  He's one of the fastest guys on the team and is a freak of nature.  There is nobody I can compare him to.  He will be unstoppable next year.

Also, Marcus Watts, Jordy Nelson, Rob Jackson, Jordan Bedore, Justin Roland, Rashaad Norwood, and James Johnson will all either be drafted or land a free agent contract.  Count it.
