Alex Legion and Manny Harris are likely to reopen their recruitment, but will have to wait to be released from the LOI's.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Legion is a very limited player, but he shoots with range and he has the size to shoot over players. There is always a need for that and it translates to the next level.

Shorter Cartier?  Looked athletic in the ABCD videos.

What will this mean to Tyree's situation? I think Tyree would be more of an impact year 1, but who knows down the road. Awesome news though. I want 'em both...bad.

So we're still looking at Legion and Brown?

This will be one extremely young, but ridiculously athletic team.  But I definitely would rather have Legion and Brown who would both contribute, than Yearby and Kent.  Hopefully we still get Evans.

We'll be deep too:

Beasley
Walker
Hoskins
Evans ______________Star players_______
Stewart
Sutton
Legion
Anthony Brown ______Impact players_____
Colon
Young (if 100%)
Pullen
Fred Brown _________Solid Reserves_____
Bennett ____________Long neck_________

From the vids and his measurables, I would say he's more like richer man's Lance Harris.

This is going to make the next couple of weeks interesting.  I would expect to start hearing official word on defections within the next week.  Signing day is just around the corner.

"Legion strongest asset is his mid-range pull up jumper. He is also a good three-point shooter off the catch and pretty good skills with the ball as a handler and passer. Doesn't attack the basket that often and tends to play too upright. Would like to see Legion play with more aggression and passion, especially defensively and on the boards." — 5/1/2006

Kinda sounds like Harris here too...

How do we make room for Legion and Brown?

Yearby leaves and Clent goes on academic.  :billypopcorn:

Is this comparison really appropriate?

Who's the better outside shooter, Tyree or Alex Legion?

Give me that person.  Preferably both.

Don't we still have one more open scholarship? And then if Yearby leaves (likely) or Kent (probably not likely) we would have additional ones. Also, Stew needs to get his grades up so we can put him on academic and have another open scholarship.

Here's a Vid with Legion on it.  There were tons of D1 players in this game.  Singler and Jennings were particularly impressive.  Legion wears #1.

after stew gets his grades high enough for an academic, he needs to get his assists high enough to match his gpa.

I thought an academic still counted towards the schollie count.  Did something change?  I mean, otherwise couldn't everyone just give out tons of academics, and have like thirty guys on scholarship?

/you have to have high enough grades to qualify.  a new rule allows athletes that would normally qualify for an academic scholly get one, in the previous years you had to get a sports one.  This opens basketball schollys.

A 3.2 is required and you must be an upperclassmen. It is a new rule that has been put in place starting next season in any collegiate sport, not just basketball.

Dude you've got to figure out how to use Google or quit posting here.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
