ISU is now down to 7 scholarship players who are available to play. We are currently so low because of Chris Colvin's suspension, Charles Boozer's season-ending injury, Jamie Vanderbeken's redshirt, and now Lucca's departure.

Have fun beating us!!

Just got word from Mike Green of Iowa State basketball that Lucca Staiger has quit the team. Coach McDermott is having a 9:15 teleconference. I'll report more on this as the evening goes on.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Wow.  McDermott appears to be a bigger idiot that Wooly was when it comes to defections.  All the "never saw it coming" talk is a clear sign of being "in over his head" when it comes to dealing with major conference players.

It will be a Tim Jankovich (good guy, I'm sure) fueled suckfest of below .500 Big 12 seasons and getting super excited about winning a B12 tourny wednesday game.   :frown:

Jank does things the right way.  And he's a K-Stater, so he'll be loyal.  More loyal than the last two coaches we had.

Quote from: tard translator
Jank can't recruit.  He's a coach who'll come and stay for 760K which gets you to the bottom 4 of the big 12.  He'll stay because no one else wants him not because he's loyal.  Wooldridge would still be here if we kept paying him.

i don't believe him.  and i don't understand why these slths think it looks better that they're out of touch assholes instead of just unable to force a player, who wants out and has discussed it, to remain.  he said the same with wesley johnson.

McDermot said he thought this was in the plans for weeks since he had a flight for this Saturday.  Would that be an NCAA violation for the school if true?

I still want my cooler, bitches!
