Surprisingly, I don't have the sense of impending doom I thought I would by now.  I'm not pumped up for the season or anything, but I don't feel like it's hopeless like I did two months ago.

I agree because he has some decent coaches on his staff and some decent recruits beginning the 2010 class

I hope OB just cheats his ass off until the NCAA runs his ass out of Manhattan.  Just break all the rules.  No holds barred.  Nothing gets a fan base going and builds tradition like about 7 years of kicking ass and doing it with reckless abandon for the rules.  See: USC, OU (Switzer/Stoops), LSU, 'Bama, Auburn, Tennessee. I could go on all day.  Just &@#%ing get after it no matter what it takes. If I'm OB this is what I do.

I'd be down with that.

I'd be more excited with Ludwig and a Utah-style spread offense, but who am I kidding? It would've been a BS DoD offence anyway. I'm more excited for '10, assuming we dont magic our way out of Chris Harper. I'm excited about the running backs we brought in. Seems like there's bound to be one good offensive threat in that bunch.

Would still rather have Patterson, but not feeling as bad with Snyder.

He will bring us back to the promised land. Can't be any worse than the bs we went thru the past 3 yrs!
It's a tremendous challenge here. I think it has the opportunity for the greatest turnaround in college football. It is not one to be taken lightly. ---------- Bill Snyder ( Nov 30th, 1988)

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
i am also starting to believe again.  although next year i think will definitely test my faith.  i ask for forgiveness in advance of my inevitable sin against papa Bill.
When I was a kid growing up in the projects, I used to dream of going into space, of escaping the slums, of killing an Ewok!

Completely agree . . . Alabama has cheated their ass off, had one year of fairly harsh penalties but other than that they only had to forfeit some games, and get a good hard slap on the wrist.  BFD

    Hey, basketball!!!
Definitely agree with this statement. I was very iffy at first, but with some good hires on the coaching staff and the start of the 2010 class, I think it might have been the best hire we could've made besides G-Patt.

I remember at the time it was Patterson or bust. Specifically, I remember thinking about how the fan campaign to get Huggins went. Emails, websites, etc all worked together in harmony to make it happen. Then Prince gets fired, and I think, look we can do it again! Emails get sent, etc, etc, and low and behold "It's Patterson". I'm all like "Power to the People" n crap. Testicles ripped off shortly thereafter.

Not only this but Bill is a saint inthe eyes of the NCAA.  HE earned some deference, by the time thye caught up with him, he'd be retiring with his national championship ring.
