ku KSU game 2007

watching this game, i think the whole team/stadium got nervous the minute ku tied it at 7. We were so scared of losing to them.

thougths? I thought the team played much looser vs CU.

When they tied it going in to halftime, I knew we would lose.  Before that I thought we would win, and comfortably.

I don't know if we were scared of losing the game, but I think the mentallity of our fanbase (especially students) was that we had already lost by keeping them in it. They didn't realize that maybe ku actually did have a decent team, and that it was going to be a real fight. Instead everyone shut up and pouted. ku grew more and more confident, and we did the opposite.

everyone thought we'd just come out and pound them at home esp after the first quarter.  The score between halftime just had everyone dazed.

Oh how we forget so quickly - remember, our defense took the afternoon off? Prince subbed the Manhattan high D instead. Walker thought for some reason that arm tackles would work and (as usual) Ian Campbell is the only member of the D that showed up. You have to forget about that game, I was over it about 2.79 hrs after it happened. Disgusted, but over it. I still hate Mangina, still think that ku will implode, still think that ku's schedule can make ANY mediocre team look like world beaters in that they dont play a Big 12 power this year. Yeah yeah yeah, aTm - but they look terrible this year. That is like saying that beating NU is impressive this year... not really. If ku doesn't come in 2nd in the North this year, Mangina should be fired.

All truth, Prince is 0-4 against ku, MU, NU- Last time I checked those are the rivlary games. Anyone at the game noted the more physical and better prepared team won. I do not like Mangino, but gotta say he has done to Prince what Coach Snyder did to Mason.
If it makes me a sock, shoe or whatever goes on a foot, so be it. Being critical of Prince does not make me less of a KSU fan or take away my diploma.

Snyder was a turd his final two years. if he didn't see the light and retire, he would be going on 4 years w/o a bowl now.

Prince is also 5-0 (hopefully 6-0 after this weekend) against UT, CU, and OSU.  He also went to a bowl game in his first season (after following a losing season) something that Mangino, Pinkel, and Callahan can't say.  Legendary Program Killer Bill Snyder was 3-3 against ku, MU, and NU  in his last 2 years and those teams were crappy compared the current version of those same programs.

ku is not a rival.  UT is.  We beat our rival and looked past a ku team that has never won the north, wasn't coming off a bowl season, never finished above .500 in the conference and hadn't played a single team that will be playing in a bowl.  I a word, we took the week off against an inferior opponent which took a bye week and prepared for their super bowl.  It sucks but I'm not going to sweat it.
