Lets see-USC on the road; Texas in the last 30 seconds (with their QB actually playing, not a backup); Auburn (beat Florida); Oklahoma (outgained them in total yardage); and a hangover loss to Oklahoma State on the road. The Oklahoma State game BTW was one that almost every Nebraska fan correctly predicted before the season started. Yeah, I'm guessing there would be a lot of teams that would go unscathed with that schedule.

Another thing to consider. Sportswriters like Sipple that cover the team on a year round basis, as a career, probably have a better grasp of what's occurring in the program than 99% of fans. His opinion needs to be respected and valued. He's covered Nebraska for 15 years and 11 as the beat writer. He's seen Nebraska at their best in the mid-90s and at their worst in the early 2000s and through this change. The man knows what he's talking about.

Stomped? Um.....it was an 18 point win for your huskers and that's with two stands inside your own five yardline where we scored 0 points. Yeah, that was really a stomping vs. Prince's first year team.

OSU was a classic trap game-it became even more apparent we were going to have trouble after the way we lost the Texas game. And I'll say this-if Zac Bowman wasn't injured last year, this is all irrelevant because Nebraska wins the Big 12 title if he's healthy.

Since the NU squad is now back to the glory they held in the mid 1990's, I have a question for you:  How many times during the mid 1990's did Nebraska lose to OSU?  I'm guessing zero.  The teams back then were very good, the kind of teams that competed for Big XII and National Championships every year.  There was no such thing as a trap game for them, because they were very talented and very well coached.  The team you have now is struggling to find it's identity on offense, (Are we a wide open passing team?  Why can't we get any good high school quarterbacks or receivers signed?  Could Callahans offense be a little less easy to predict?) a defense that is closer to the pink shirts than the black shirts, and a coach who has demonstrated the ability to recruit in the top four or five in his own conference but also demonstrates daily why he went from coaching in a SuperBowl to being jobless in the NFL in just a few years.  (How many other coaches have fallen out of favor so quickly in the NFL?  How many coaches with sub .500 career records are still bouncing around from job to job in the NFL?)  I am truly sorry that your need for validation is fulfilled by the words of a man whose career is based on writing for the hometown paper of a once proud program.  No way he is biased in any way shape or form.
