We were a young, inexperienced team last year, won 7. Schedule is a little tougher this year, but we have a few potential superstars on our roster, so there is zero reason not to be optimistic.

Anyone who isn't probably would prefer that some former mid-major coordinator was our head coach, and wouldn't mind if they were a white, non-reader.

I don't think our schedule is tougher.

Nebraska, Texas are both almost sure losses so putting them on the road is not a big hit.  But bringing Colorado, Baylor and ku home are guaranteed wins.  The non-con is harder.  But ISU looks softer.  I think there are 4 conference wins to be had rather easily with the season hinging on Mizzou at home, Okie State on the road and @ Fresno.  I'll take that.

That's not optimistic.  Worst case scenario IMO.

Was it free BJ day in the northern part of Kansas?  Everyone seems to be pretty happy.

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
KANSAS STATE FOOTBALL 2007-2008

at Auburn - LOSS (0-1, 0-0)
San Jose St. - WIN!!! (1-1, 0-0)
Missouri State - WIN!!! (2-1, 0-0)

at Texas - LOSS (2-2, 0-1)
Kansas - WIN!!! (3-2, 1-1)
Colorado - WIN!!! (4-2, 2-1)

at OK State - LOSS (4-3, 2-2)
Baylor - WIN!!! (5-3, 3-2)
at Iowa State - WIN!!! (6-3, 4-2)

at Nebraska - LOSS (6-4, 4-3)
Missouri - WIN!!! (7-4, 5-3)
at Fresno State - WIN!!! (8-4, 5-3)

We should be ridiculous for the 2008-2009 season.  We lose (red=major loss, black=neutral, green=who cares) - Nelson, Watts, Norwood, Pooschke, Robinson, Cline, Jackson, Manu, Roland, Baldwin, Garvin, McKinney, and Watts.

Good thing we hit up WR, OL, and DB, the last two classes, right?  However, DE= :ohno: unless we consider moving Campbell back to DE to make room for Arthur Brown

Alright here is my stab at it:

at Auburn - WIN!!!! (1-0, 0-0)
San Jose St. - WIN!!! (2-0, 0-0)
Missouri State - WIN!!! (3-0, 0-0)

at Texas - LOSS (3-1, 0-1)
Kansas - WIN!!! (4-1, 1-1)
Colorado - WIN!!! (5-1, 2-1)

at OK State - WIN!!! (6-1, 3-1)
Baylor - WIN!!! (7-1, 4-1)
at Iowa State - WIN!!! (8-1, 5-1)

at Nebraska - LOSS (9-1, 6-1)
Missouri - WIN!!! (10-1, 7-1)
at Fresno State - WIN!!! (11-1, 8-1)

Big 12 Champs!!!!

I actually think we can beat Auburn. It's early in the season, they are shaky at QB, and our QB is straight up salty
