I just got an ad in the mail from Cox for one month of digital cable service at regular cable prices.  I may be getting digital for a month.

Either way.... fnck the NFL network.  They need to stay away from non-NFL games....

Then.... they need to stay the fnck away from broadcasting NFL games.

The service may be regular but I bet you'll have to pay for the DVR and setup fee. Just go down to Coaches for the evening.

As you can imagine, my schedule is a bit in-flux at that time.  I may be in the delivery room yelling at my wife to hurry it up so I can watch the game.

Does she want me there?  As the father, I think I should be there.

Cox carries the NFL network according to today's column from Jeff Flanagan in today's KC Star.  :beerchug:

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED

Unfortunately, only fatty is entertaining.

Two years ago maybe.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

    It's time to hit it.

You didn't read the article very close did you?  The idea is for Cox basic cable subscribers.  you get one month free if you upgrade to digital cable, so the idea is to upgrade, pick the sports tier, watch the game, then cancel the digital cable.  the 1.99 is a transfer fee.

Doesn't work if you already have digital cable.

Cox

I think you'd need to upgrade to digital cable and grab the sports tier.

Fatty's right.  Get Cox Digital and get the sports package, while you're at it thow in the extra $10 and pick up a Tivo, tune to channel 247 and enjoy.

This whole board is a bunch of smartasses.

Unfortunately, only fatty is entertaining.

No one else matches up.

Regarding the NFL network, you people that don't get it on cable, really need to switch to Dish.   For about the same price you get a whole lot more in terms of access.  On Dish, I get all the Fox Channels and can see every game.  When ESPN GamePlan comes up, you can get some pretty good deals where you can see other games.

But cable companies trying to charge the NFL network to watch sports is bogus.

Ya but the commercials tell me that Dish costs a whole lot more because of fees, they also tell me that if it rains I'm going to lose my signal.

All kidding aside, I'd switch back to Dish in a second if I could actually hit the SW sky from my location.  Dish kills cable when it comes to pure digital audio and video.

I don't want to argue like a couple of Radio Shack clerks, but isn't a Dish HD signal compressed or something which makes it less good than non-Dish HD signals?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
