So much for the "a playoff would never work in Division I thing":
For all the talk about how a Division I-A playoff would force student-athletes to miss too much class time, get a load of this: Alabama is canceling all classes for Jan. 6 through Jan. 8 to accommodate faculty, staff and students who want to attend the BCS Championship Game in Pasadena.
So in Tuscaloosa, not only are the players going to miss class time -- the whole school will miss class time. Which means the one extra BCS game is causing enough problems, yet the NCAA is fine with it.
Tell us again why a playoff isn't feasible? Because Alabama might have to cancel classes in two or three consecutive weeks if the Tide advanced to the championship?
